What started as a well-meaning gesture turned into hurtful comments on a local Facebook page. In an effort to spread holiday cheer, one man decided to give out $600 worth of $20 bills to children at the Wal-Mart in Yreka. He says the gesture was all about giving kids a nice Christmas surprise.
